Compare two teams
Pick any two teams and a floor. The margin and win probability come from the game model itself (ratings, tempo, home court, each team's uncertainty), the same one behind every schedule line on the site; they are not the difference of two ratings. The link carries the choice, so it can be shared.
Choose two teams.
A team's rating is points per 100 possessions better than an average Division I team on a neutral floor: +30 is elite, 0 is average, and the gap between two teams is the margin the model expects on a neutral floor. Offense and defense are the two halves, each against the average, and the rating is their sum. Home court is the model's estimate for the season plus the home team's own adjustment. Win probability uses the game's irreducible noise plus both teams' projection uncertainty. Ratings are the preseason projection; once games are played the in-season rating takes over.
